Welch Regiment Museum (41st/69th Foot)

The museum is housed within the Black and Barbican Towers of Cardiff Castle and commemorates the services of the infantry in South Wales, namely the Welch Regiment (1719-1969) and more recently the Royal Regiment of Wales. In addition to the services of the regular battalions of the regiment, the museum commemorates the history of the Glamorgan militia and the auxiliary land forces of South Wales (1757-1969) which includes the Infantry, the Rifle Volunteers, and the Yeomanry Cavalry.

The Museum Shop is stocked with a wide range of books and regimental souvenirs, which can be purchased at the time or by mail order. Email us today for a current sales list.

No additional charge is made for admission to the regimental museum.
